Brave New World 2024 – 2026

Brave New World 2024 – 2026

Today we have about 100,000 airline flights crossing the US each day. We can add 10 million daily drone flights by 2024, placing packages on rooftops, using robots to pick these up and deliver them.

Oil and gas support almost 10 million employees plus over 2 million more in unconventional oil and gas value chain and chemicals activities. A few more years for you guys.

Coal and gas will renter their declining years, as solar and wind power become economically viable alternatives at a cost that will drive them off the grid. There were 832,00 miners in 1923, compared to 50,000 today. I’m “puzzled” why the Government is promoting building this industry up only to see it disappear.

At least 50% of new cars and trucks will be electric powered, although oil companies will still be viable. For now.

Drop in or drop out. That’s the choice. Either keep pace with the competition or become marginalized. How many professional jobs, 43 million plus 16 million managers (and another 2 million CEO’s – will they be compliant too?) How many jobs will in fact be needed? And what type?

Anyone wanting to keep a professional job will be augmented with implanted Artificial Intelligence just to keep up with the pace of development job requirements and competition. For our “convenience”, the Government will move to mandated implanted chips for access to goods and services. We won’t even need a new chip, the one we have will be just fine. Will we even know what has been encoded and who has access to that data. How many of us get messages from our employers, insurers, the Government, etc. about new systems and processes being implemented for “our” convenience. Did they just forget their own convenience?

Is this the real start of control over free movement? Aided and abetted by CCTV and facial recognition. I get it, “criminals” in the broadest sense, included people disagreeing with Government, can be quickly picked up. But yes, I can just wave my arm for a new dose of SOMA or Soylent Green.

Farming is already a minor employer – 1.2 million including nearly 900,000 agricultural workers, many already separated from regular employment. What will be impact of vertical agriculture? Country farmers, better move to city. Farm hands, good luck.

Certified pilots in the US have declined to 590,000 from a high of 827,000 in 1980. No wonder this industry is desperate for new blood while airline routes are continuing to expand.

Another two years and autonomous cars will dominate the roadways. We won’t want or need to own our own cars.Is it any wonder the car manufacturers and new startups are seriously into this business? Drones or other forms of VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) will also be available to avoid road transport.

Farms will no longer be a requirement for major cities, as vertical agriculture becomes commercially viable for food production.

People will not need to travel to experience the look and feel of the real thing. Want a vacation? Lonely? All thats missing is an artificial experience with real emotional attachment.

The have and have nots will separate even more. As work as we know it begins to disappear, what will replace it? Will the wealthy Corporations, people, and Governments take care of peoples needs, and in exchange for what?
